Beach Way USA is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it's a lot like your world. Maybe it's nothing like it. But, if you look closely you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way; someone trying to find their place; someone trying to find their self. Sometimes it’s easy to feel like you’re the only one in the world who's struggling, who’s frustrated, or unsatisfied at barely getting by. But, that feeling is a lie and if you just hold on; just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find the way and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world. To remind us that it won’t always be this way. That someone is out there, and that someone will find you.

Typical High School - Beachwood High
It is amazing how you can
Spend the rest of your life
Reacting to how you were
Defined in high school
So cruel…..
By others, and how it
Never seems to go away
No matter what you say
Like a bad dream.
Those cliques of jocks,
And burnouts, nerds,
Brains, and whatever else
You can fathom,
Not the mention the ones
That seemed totally anonymous,
Relegated to no status that even
A label can give.
The torments, derision, pranks
That are heaped around
Can surround
the mind
And pockmark it forever.
The varieties are endless
It can motivate for the good, the
Bad and the ugly.
Smugly
Clinging to the social structures
That adults have created.
Be cool
Rule
Laugh at the fool
Class clowns
Scholastic renown
That chokes the life out with
Expectations
As it someday hits you
most will never come true.
It was
All
A
Lie!

Saturday morning. The first Saturday of 08. It was nine o'clock, and Olivia laid on her bed with her eyes wide open. Sure on a Saturday she'd usually be sleeping in on to twelve, even though nine wasn't that early either. Tells just say she wasn't woken up by choice, her parents fighting woke her up again. Her parents never fought in the afternoon, or at night they just did in the morning. It does piss Olivia off, but lately she's be sleeping over at friends so that she won't have to hear what they tell each other. After about twenty more minutes of the fighting, everything got quiet, then she heard her mom yell 'who ever wants breakfast come down. Livia swung her legs, over the bed, and walked into the bathroom which was in her room. She washed her face, and then walked down stairs in her PJ's. Her mother handed her a plate with eggs and bacon on it. And she walked over to the dinning room, were her three brothers were, and her father.
Olivia scraped her fork on her breakfast plate, as she watched everyone else chow down on their food. There was an awkward silence between them, though she was pretty much used to it now. The problems with her family pretty much began when her mom's mother died; after that the fights began. Her grandmother was the light of the family, the burning flame that kept them all together, and once she passed away, the light and warmth slowly faded away between them. They never really talked, unless they were instructing each other to do something, or yelling and fighting with the other person. She sighed, staring down at her eggs, she didn't really have an appetite for them. She looked up and mumbled a, "May I be excused ?" and with her father's nod, she grabbed her plate, and walked into the kitchen, scraping the eggs in garbage. She felt her hair fall into her face, and grimly tucked it behind her ear. She made her way out of the bright kitchen into the dining room once again, " I'm going upstairs. "she said, heading to wards the steps.
As she heard her footsteps emerge up the stairs, she made a right into her bedroom. Olivia decided not to let that morning get her upset. She decided to go out, somewhere and forget about her parents. She rummaged through her closet and saw a white and black bikini. Yes. It was not her plan to go to the beach, but she didn't know were she was going plus, it might be fun if someone was playing volleyball and she could join in. Or maybe tan up a bit, and a swim wouldn't hurt. Olivia grabbed the bikini and ran into the bathroom were she took of her Pj's and put on the bikini. Walking out of the bathroom in her swim suit, she spotted an orange tank top on her bed. She walked over to it, and put it over her bikini top. Walking over to her closet again she saw her jean mini skirt, and put it on. Last but not least she put on her black flip flops, from channel.
She grabbed a orange and black purse, and filled it with her stuff; sun scream, lip gloss. Seeing the bag matched her tank perfectly. She then grabbed her keys, and headed out the door, with a light, " Goodbye." to her family. Olivia then got into her car, she got her Dior sun glasses from the glove compartment, and put them on the top of her head; and drove down to the beach. As she approached the beach, she noticed it was full with people. She couldn't help but smile, she was a huge people person it was true. Olivia parked her car, and walked onto the beach, she sand was warm, she could feel it dig into her flip flops. Once the girl found a spot, she took out her towel from her beach bag and laid it on the sand. She then rested herself on the towel, and watched the people at the beach as she turned on her i-pod, and put it on her ears.
